Call me basic but I still love this trendy toast. As much as I love sweets, this savory toast and egg combo makes it hard to resist. It’s and easy, cheap and satisfying breakfast.
Complex carb, healthy fats and protein all on one slice of heaven. Relax on a Sunday and have yourself some fancy toast and a french press coffee. Probably the easiest toast recipe that you will ever come across, and the most Instagram worthy food picture!
Avocado Toast Nutrition Info:
Eggs: It’s a never ending debate however I love eggs as a protein source! One egg has only 75 calories, 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals, and carotenoids. I’ll take it, egg nutritional benefits are great.
Avocado: One-third of a medium avocado has about 80 calories and contributes nearly 20 vitamins and minerals, making it a great nutrient dense food choice. The avocado is a fruit, yes I said fruit, that contains heart-healthy fat (the good kind)! Avocados are naturally sodium, sugar and cholesterol free. Mash them in a bowl and put the leftover avocado in a avocado saver. Amazing invention!
Whole Grain Toast: I personally like Dave’s Killer Bread thin sliced for toast. The whole food ingredients including nuts, seeds and oats makes it an excellent grain option!
Coffee: I think the best Trader’s Joe’s Coffee is the medium roast. At least the best ground coffee for French Press.
