Blueberries: contain vitamin K1, vitamin C, manganese, and several other antioxidants. Blueberries, when eaten regularly, have been linked to lowering the risk of disease. It’s a great complex carb choice to add flavor and color to your smoothie!
Spinach: is nutrient dense and packs high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron, and calcium. Spinach is a great vegetable to blend in without it being an overpowering flavor.
Plain Yogurt: contains protein, vitamin B12, calcium, phosphorus, riboflavin and probiotics. I prefer to use yogurt in my smoothie as a protein source. Yogurt also adds a delicious creaminess to my favorite smoothies!
