  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend the ingredients on high-speed for 2-5 minutes until you get a smooth and creamy texture.
  3. To adjust thickness, add milk or water to taste.

It’s a great option for a balanced meal, post workout smoothie or something to sip on during the hot summer months! This blueberry banana ginger smoothie is not only delicious but packed with nutrition too.

Blueberry Banana Ginger Smoothie Nutrition Info:

Blueberries: contain vitamin K1, vitamin C, manganese, and several other antioxidants. Blueberries, when eaten regularly, have been linked to lowering the risk of disease. It’s a great complex carb choice to add flavor and color to your smoothie!

Spinach: is nutrient dense and packs high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron, and calcium. Spinach is a great vegetable to blend in without it being an overpowering flavor.

Plain Yogurt: contains protein, vitamin B12, calcium, phosphorus, riboflavin and probiotics. I prefer to use yogurt in my smoothie as a protein source. Yogurt also adds a delicious creaminess to my favorite smoothies!

Flax Seed: contains of omega-3 fats, lignans and fiber. Omega 3s have been linked to many health benefits including heart and brain health.

Bananas: not a fruit to be scared of! Bananas contain fiber, antioxidants and potassium.

Ginger: is high in gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Ginger is one of my favorite ingredients to add additional flavor to smoothies!

Homemade Almond Milk: often lower in calories, is a dairy-free option and provides a creamy nutty flavor.
