  1. Put everything into a blender and blend until creamy consistency is reached!
  2. Top with poppy seeds and lemon zest if desired! And maybe a little whip cream :)
  3. I use an insulated shaker bottle to keep it cold during my workouts! It's a great option if you don't have a meal planned right after working out.

Try this lemon cream pie protein shake as a new post workout smoothie or even a healthy dessert! This shake is creamy, sweet and packed with nutrition. Don’t knock the cottage cheese addition until you try it.

No matter what season or time of the day it is, lemon poppy seed is a refreshing flavor and now a new way to increase your protein intake. This healthy lemon poppy seed recipe was inspired by my favorite cupcake flavor at a local bakery in town (Batter Up Cakes, in case you were wondering). The things I would do for the lemon almond poppy seed cupcakes are…unmentionable.

Healthy Lemon Cream Protein Shake Nutrition Info:

Cottage Cheese: is a great source of protein with relatively few calories. Cottage cheese is also packed with B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus and selenium.

Lemon: Lemons are very rich in vitamin C, and are also a decent source of potassium and vitamin B6.

Cauliflower: cauliflower is actually high in vitamin C too! It’s high in fiber, choline, vitamin K, vitamin B6 and folate as well.

Oat Milk: is low in allergens. Particularly fortified products are a great source of B vitamins, may lower blood cholesterol, and provide nutrients that support bone health. Watch for added sugar in the ingredients! I love the flavor.
