Skinny Pineapple Lime Mojito

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Measure out rum, water or club soda and lime juice and combine into cocktail shaker.
  2. Muddled chunks of pineapple and add to cocktail shaker.
  3. Shake drink until well mixed
  4. Slice lime wedges and add mint leaves to a fancy glass chilled with ice.
  5. Pour cocktail and enjoy!

Have summer extra mint leftover in your summer garden? I would recommend…a fresh and fruity skinny pineapple lime mojito.

Mojitos are a must when on vacation for me! I love the refreshing minty flavor but have to add a little sweetness with some muddled fruit.

This homemade drink is a lighter version of the syrupy high calorie usual mojito. It’s a little more hydrating with a great splash of Vitamin C.

Lime: limes are a great source of vitamin C and may even help with digestion!

Pineapple: Fresh pineapple is the only known source of an enzyme called bromelain, which might play a role in a range of different health benefits. Some studies have shown pineapple to reduce swelling, lower risk of chronic disease and promote heart health! It’s a good source of potassium, vitamin C and antioxidants.

Mint: mint has great antioxidant properties and is an easy way to flavor drinks.
